Aki Sushi - Québec

The sushi is excellent, and the service is extraordinary. This is my go-to place for sushi; they are always so delicious and prepared just the way I like them.

Once I got home, I found the sushi to be decent overall, but... the Shrimp Tempura was the worst I've ever had. It was still semi-frozen and tasted freezer-burned—sticky and inedible. It definitely seemed like it had been sitting in the freezer for months, not packaged the same day! On a positive note, the rest of my order seemed quite fresh.

The sushi here is excellent, and the service is outstanding. This is my go-to spot for sushi; they always prepare it just the way I like it.

My first experience with Aku Sushi was online ordering, thinking it would be freshly made like other sushi restaurants of this type. I later found out that this restaurant is located inside a Metro grocery store. I quickly glanced at the containers with my sushi and paid at the Metro checkout. Once I got home, I would say the sushi was good, BUT... I ordered Tempura Shrimp, and they were the worst I've ever had. They were still semi-frozen and had freezer burn—mushy and inedible. Were they really packed the same day? I would guess they came out of the freezer after sitting for months! Otherwise, the rest of my order seemed fairly fresh.

It's convenient to have your sushi prepared while you shop for groceries.
