restaurant pizzeria la Venitia

Found La Venitia at the end of our stay in Quarteria - thought it was Portuguese, but turns out it is French. We were welcomed by Stefan who was so pleasant and a lady who again was pleasant, chatty and helpful (even helped me with my basic French !! ), (not to mention , attractive). Food arrived and it was beautiful. Positioned overlooking the sea, this restaurant is on the list next time we visit Quarteira. Merci beaucoup.

Tried this restaurant after reading some reviews on TA. I was not to be disappointed. I had the option any 1/2 pizza with salad, 3 mini desserts and tea or coffee for 8.50. Presentation was good and it was tasty especially the dessert. The service overall was good. They would not or cannot accept non Portuguese bank cards. That was disappointing.

We decided to have lunch here and were not disappointed. We chose pizza and as they were 33cm / over 12 inches in diameter shared one between the 2 of us. We went for the Guia (tomato, mozzarella, onion, peppers and chicken – see picture). The pizza was excellent, cooked to perfection with a lovely base that had plenty of flavour although maybe a little too salty for some? The toppings were also packed with flavour. We had 2 desserts. The first was a Coupe Tartin which was served in a glass bowl and had hot apples in the bottom with caramel biscuit crumb and was topped with Chantilly cream and caramel sauce which was superb – see picture). The second was a Trio of Desserts with coffee – see picture. The service was friendly and informative and along with a soft drink and 2 glasses of tasty house red wine the bill came to €27.80 which we thought was very good value. We were staying at the Dom Jose Hotel and it was about a 5 to 10 minute walk along the beach promenade towards Villa Moura on the right hand side. We would return if we stayed in Quarteria again and would recommend.

My husband & I visited this restaurant for lunch & as we have done once previously. On both occasions we sat outside overlooking the ocean. At the moment I have limited mobility so accessing the restaurant indoors could be a problem as it has steps....More

I have spent a very good time yesterday in this new restaurant ! Great dishes with fresh products and have big portions. I recommand to taste their home smoothies (especially with watermelon). The staff was friendly and had good advice concerning the wines' choice. Definitely a good address in the neighbourhood !
