Rancho Manuel - Puntarenas

If your heading down to Jaco on CR34 you will pass by this place. Portions were good and had an english menu. Waiter was very accommodating going so far as to bring a fan to set behind us for a cool breeze on a muggy night. If you like hot sauce then ask for the special stuff and you will get some, much hotter then the hot sauce on the table. No issues with this place at all, would eat there again.

The most amazing food, sopa di maresco, been and smoke pork meat, fish etc. Is all done with fresh produce. Family owned and runned business. Stuff is friendly and very accommodating. Locate în Heradura close Jaco will satisfy most people looking for real Costa Rican food.

We got lucky and just happened upon this place along CR 34. The food was delicious, large menu, big portions. Fish was fresh and well prepared. We had the sea bass and the mahi mahi with shrimp sauce (decadent). Prices were a bit higher than typical soda but worth it. Service was a little slow, but very friendly staff so it wasn’t an issue. Absolutely recommend this gem! Trip advisor says it’s closed but it is not! Hours are 11 am-11pm. Pura vida!

We enjoyed a lovely and abundant lunch at Manuel's Rancho after visiting the National Park of Carara. Manuel's a very charismatic immigrant from Nicaragua that adapted to Costa Rica and make our day with a delicious lunch before continuing the road.
