Café Y Macadamia - Puntarenas

There was a chance and went out to try this place. So glad we did. Garden seats on the back were very pleasant. The prices were higher than expected, but the food was delicious and the portions were large. Iced tea was also very well done! Would come back! Quick stop, chosen by our driver, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Only had a coffee and a comfort break, but the selection of food was good and it looked really nice. Good break between Tamarindo and San Jose.

Was a washroom stop. Coffee was great. But their specialty was a smoothie served with an orchid. We had a tour of the orchid farm. Wow so many. Imported from Bangkok then grown in Costa rica to serve the nation. Was worth the tour. The bill has service included. But prices are good. The exchange rate for the US Dollar is not very good.

Great food. Portions are Big. Only outside seating areas. They sell macadamia products and there's an orchid garden as well. Not a big fan of the butterflies trapped in the eating area.

The food was good here. We had 2 sandwiches, 2 smoothies and a cold soup. The smoothies were make your own (choose the ingredients) and the soup was good. The sandwiches were just alright. They look better in a picture than they tasted.
