Bidrage med feedbackWonderful Food. We split the Abalone Salad and the Chilian Sea Bass plates. We also split a Chilian bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The waiter was good and he even split the checks properly. Our tour guide recommended this restaurant. The restaurant also has a Nice Garden patio with tables for dining. We arrived around 1:30 pm. It got crowded around 2:15 pm, with the locals arriving for their lunch. The restaurant is located away the street. Parking lot is small and I do mean small.
Perhaps the best restaurant in town. The king crab chupe is amazing comparing with another famous restaurant I went the other day, and they even serve half dozen of oysters for free!
Good thing about this place it stays open throughout the day unlike other similar places around the town. Menu is typical and one can find lots of local dishes here. We had salmon and octopus. Both were tasty, portions on the other side are smallish and generally speaking were expensive (beauty of touristy town). We couldn’t find a lot of bang for our buck here.
Okay food. Nice service compared to other restaurants in the area but the foods were mediocre at best. The sea foods were fresh... But not that fresh if you know what that means. Expect to pay clp12k per dish including the starters.
Puerto varas has many restaurants, las buenas brasas stands out. I'm actually coming here for the seafood. they have wonderful variety of fish and mollusks. locos are large (a local art of abalone,) centolla (spider krabbe,) urchin, etc. they even serve oysters as a free appetizer!
