Taste Casa Cupula - Puerto Vallarta

That was our first time in taste; no one was at the door or at the entrance to welcome us so that we had to walk around to find the restaurant. music was too loud to visit; it was eventually complained to others. our first beverage orders took ten minutes to receive, we were the only table at the time; after ordering a second round of waiters forget the order! when other patrons arrived, they sat immediately next to our table, instead of allowing a little private sphere and space between groups. we felt that the personal still learned his routine. appetizers were extremely small and expensive. my main course was however sufficiently large and properly prepared.

We have enjoyed wonderful dinners in the past at Taste the menu was so very creative using only Mexican ingredients with a unique Mexican twist, the meals were just delightful with full flavors that we could not wait to share with visiting friends. Now the menu selection is just blaaa and missing that wonderful Mexican twist. The entire meal was not a meal we would have thought possible, we were the only table in the restaurant 8pm the apps were served luke warm, the main dish was extremely salty. The server came to the table to ask how we were enjoying the meal however there was absolutely no acknowledgement as to our dissatisfaction and the restaurant manager, sitting nearby at the bar did nothing but browse on his phone. During our dinner, there was one person hovering around the table and eventually introduced himself as the restaurant's consultant. After hearing our concerns he asked that we pass them onto the manager before leaving (what is the point of having a consultant). The manager continued sitting at the bar browsing on his phone ignoring us. We will not return again !!

Well displayed and tasty food. Choice of mimosa of **** Mary, we asked for champagne and were give it with no question. Not a huge selection but certainly more than one could eat. The omelet/egg/taco station was unique in that you placed your order then it was brought to the table. No standing in the dreaded omelet line! Service was efficient and friendly. Food really over the top. We've been doing a different brunch every Sunday and this really stood out. They called a cab for us when we were finished.

We enjoyed the Sunday brunch. Many choices from the buffet and menu. Nice touch to be able to order your eggs a la minute. The roast pork and chicken on the buffet were very good. Cheerful and handsome staff to serve your every wish, including ordering a taxi for us after dining!

Interesting contemporary Mexican cuisine. Minimalist wine selection. Unusual yet entertaining outdoor seating next to a bar which projected and played music videos on a large wall.
