Bidrage med feedbackExcellent shrimp enchiladas, marlin tacos, and of course, margaritas! Love the location in the adorable plaza of the cultural center. Quiet and peaceful with lots to look at.
We have been going to this restaurant since 1994. The tortilla soup is excellent, prices very reasonable, and service always very friendly. Everything we've ordered through the years has been very tasty.
Las Brazzas is located almost at the end of the Isla Cuale, at the bottom of the new igauna footbridge. It would be easy to dismiss this little place, but if you stop you will find a warm welcome, a cold drink and good homemade food. This is very much a no frills bar/ restaurant run by father and daughter. The outside tables, set under palm trees, provide a view of Gringo Gulch and the Cultural Centre plaza. Margaritas and beers are 25 pesos. They have daily specials which will vary from smoked marlin tacos or shrimp dishes, and some of the best guacamole and tortilla soup (55 pesos) in Puerto Vallarta.Dinner dishes range from various fajitas and enchiladas to steak, breaded chicken breast parmesan, to shrimp, and fish fillet.Prices range from 20 pesos for some appetizers up to 250 pesos for some entrees.
We weren't sure of this restaurant when we started walking on the east side of Isla Cuale. As others mentioned many shops were closed until you reach the cultural center. We sat outdoors and had a very reasonably priced lunch for four with inexpensive Margaritas. ($1.50 US.) They were somewhat sweeter and Americanized compared to other places, but the food was quite traditional and tasty. Total bill was less than $40 including gratuity and several drinks. The owner/Chef even comped us a Bailey's shot at the end of lunch.
My wife and I were walking along the Rio Cuale island in the morning when we came across Las Brazzas Grill just as they were opening up for business. The place is rather small but the service is very friendly. We were looking for refreshments as it was a hot and muggy day, so I can't evaluate their food as we didn't have any while there. We noticed that their chairs had names written on them and the young woman serving us explained that they were the names of their regular customers. We needed to use the bathroom before leaving and I have to say this facility is way below par. There's only one bathroom and it's marked for ladies, and aside from being very tiny it is in bad shape. The toilet seat doesn't stay up (for guys), and the toilet leaks water from around the base. All this needs fixing. But all in all we were glad that this bar/grill was there to meet our needs.- Cheers!
