Great place to go for carnivores and especially if they have live entertainment, pretty local and a large dance area

Beautiful sheltered patio with delicious food. Attentive, quiet service with excellent menu choices. Food is prepared with care. The place in Puerto Escondido to try arrachera and the home made tortillas are perfect.

My husband and I happened upon this restaurant which was a little isolated from the strip of restaurants near Puerto Angelito. We were the only people there which ended up being really nice because the service was impeccable. They played romantic music for us, gave...us a complimentary soup before our dinner and also explained the menu in great detail. They were very warm and hospitable, making us feel very comfortable there. We ate the local fish (like tuna) which was to die for, and cecina, which was delicious. Their tortillas were amazing, handmade in the kitchen right before we ate them. My husband is from Mexico and agreed it was authentic Mexican food, but also had its own unique touches. Right as we were paying, it started to downpour. We mentioned we needed to get a taxi, so one of the cooks ran out in the pouring rain and hailed one for us! I couldn’t believe it...I wish we had more time in this area so we could have returned. When we come back to Puerto, we will definitely come back to this restaurant. Very highly recommended!

After years of dining on the Rinconada and not giving this spot a try, we ate here last night. It was just terrific. We will ensure that we make this a regular stop in the future. Set in a private leafy garden (in itself making...this a unique Rinconada stop), every single bite was memorable. First comes the complimentary bean soup mentioned in other reviews clearly someone’s talented grandmother’s recipe. This was followed by the very generous mixed grill that we chose ribs, skirt steak, chicken, quail, fabulous local sausages, beans, guacamole. All delicious and the steak perfectly grilled to order. We came home with wonderful leftovers for today’s lunch. The menu reflects other delicious sounding choices. We heartily recommend going down that extra block of the Rinconada to enjoy this special destination.
