Tucan - Puerto de la Cruz

Another very enjoyable meal in this beautifully ambient restaurant. Jaja cooks superbly and service by Gabby and Claudia is perfection. Shared a platter of smoked salmon with home made rosti served with a herbed creme fraiche. Then lightly curried plump langoustines with mango sauce, mixed fruits and rice...excellent and full of flavour. Wine list could do with a few more interesting bottles but settled for the reliable Cune 2015. A most enjoyable evening.

Food, service and atmosphere always superb. Try the Pompano with safran sauce, Chicken with curry and a fruit sauce and the Crepe Suzette.

We can not holiday in Puerto de la Cruz without having a meal at The Tucan. The Restaurant itself is a wonderful building and has so much atmosphere. The owner Gabby is most welcoming and friendly and attentive. The food is superb. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We went our first visit this holiday for my husband's birthday and took our daughter and son in law. They absolutely loved it. Then we went a second time and took friends who live in Puerto. It is certainly a restaurant which must be on your list to visit.

We visited this restaurant twice in our week long stay at Casablanca Apartments. We have been there previously when we had visited Puerto de la Cruz some years ago. The food is excellent! The service is excellent! Anyone who stays in Puerto and does not visit this restaurant is really missing out. We cannot recommend this establishment enough.
