Papa Jose's Union Cafe - Pueblo

Incredible foods at excellent prices. Takeout came the minute I asked, and they threw in plastic goods. In particular, I thought the posole was amazing. The a la carte tacos were packed with meat, and the Tamale were excellent. Green Chile sauce is mild, medium or hot - and I felt the hot variety was excellent without overwhelming. They offer Maistortilla options for everything I asked, which is good for taking gluten-free people. I'm definitely back!

Okay, I'm back to really liking this restaurant. I hadn't been back in a while after a bad experience with some of the staff(some rude women). I don't know if they knew we could hear them talking smack about us in the kitchen or didn't care, but I was so embarrassed I just wanted to leave right then. I finally came back and it's good to see they're gone. There is much friendlier staff now. The food has always been pretty good! Edit: I went recently after it reopened and added a . Stayed true to taste!

Lunch Special! Wow it was great, 3 enchiladas with rice beans $8.99 The owner came over and asked how we were doing, I told him it was great and we came down from Springs and loved it! They even have outdoor seating! We will be back!

The food was very good. Excellent red chili. Green chili was also very good. I don't live here but would come back if I'm in Pueblo.

I go to Pueblo and papa’s Jose Mexican delicious and best spicy food with friends from Colorado Springs and my brother Gary and Sister in law Karen! Their Pesole is the greatest of the Pesole I’ve had in my life and a fulfilling experience with the Hispanic atmosphere and aroma! Your missing an experience to remember in authentic Southwestern Colorado Hispanic food!
