Tucanos Brazilian Grill - Provo

I’ve eaten at Tucanos for two of their special events. The first was Thanksgiving, which I really enjoyed, and if that was the only event, I’d give them five stars for that experience. However, I also went to one of their special Chef’s Dinner events, which is about x3 the price of their regular all you can eat dinner. It was held in their private room, and the service, food/drinks and atmosphere were excellent, save for some hiccups. The first was the appetizer course. I was served last, and so mine were a bit cold and soggy. This I could overlook, but the real hiccup happened at the end. There was so much food brought out that by halfway through I was feeling overly full and too sick to eat. I wasn’t able to get to the filet mignon or specialty pork courses, which were ostensibly the main attractions of the event. When I asked if I’d be able to take those and the rest of the food I hadn’t been able to eat home, I was told no a bit rudely and looked at as if I were a criminal for asking. I can understand that a buffet ordinarily wouldn’t allow people to take home leftovers because they don’t want to be taken advantage of, but in this case it was a plated prix fixe meal and very expensive at that. It was part of my Christmas present to myself to attend, and the fact that I was too full and queasy to eat the best parts made for a lackluster final impression. So, I can really only recommend their chef’s dinners if you have an enormous appetite and can fully appreciate it all in one sitting.

Busy but that's a good sign, that this place is worth it. I wouldn't recommend coming as soon as they open but a little after 4-6 would be a good time.

We stopped here as we were traveling thru the area. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The waitress Brooke was excellent and went out of her way to make sure we were cared for. Recommend anyone to eat here. Their salad festival is excellent with lots of choices.

Absolutely perfect. Every buffet offering was spot on and a worthy meal in and of itself. Complimented wonderfully the perfect meat offerings straight from the fire, hot and juicy, full of flavor. The service was welcoming, friendly, gracious, and very attentive. You just can't do any better than Tucanos in Orem!
