Bidrage med feedbackWe had the blue cheese and the baconburger and the pepper cheese steak sandwich. Both were very good, but I would say the cheese steak is what they do best. I had better burgers, but the man was a good cheese steak! Good price also at $7.45. Loved the Jalapeño sauce:
The food was very good and tasted home made rather than restaurant-like. The atmosphere was greasy-spoon but the food was so good and the staff so friendly that I didn 't care. I left a large tip because the food was so good but the price was so reasonable.
I will never return to a chain restaurant for breakfast in Provo as long as Nate’s Diner is in business. This is the ultimate spot for comfort food and offers a unique local culinary experience. Everything about Nate’s is personal and distinctive, perfectly aligning with the emerging American ideal of supporting local businesses. Unlike many chain restaurants, Nate’s has a loyal customer base of regulars who truly appreciate the atmosphere. You can feel that you are in the right place, whether you’re a visitor wanting to experience local flavors or a resident who wants to invest in a thriving local economy with your hard-earned money. Additionally, the diner has a warm and inviting vibe, complemented by hardworking and friendly servers. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash, reminiscent of a simpler time, so be sure to bring some! Don’t miss out on this gem!
When I walked in, a wave of nostalgia washed over me. While some might argue that the interior needs an update, I actually find it reminiscent of family dinners in the 90s. It felt a bit outdated, but there was no sense of irony among the patrons—just genuine, down-to-earth Americans enjoying some soul food. And the FOOD! I ordered the Speck-Käseburger, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. I held back on giving a full five stars because the fries were overcooked to the point of being inedible.
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Provo. The staff is incredibly friendly, providing fast and personalized service. Our waitress even introduced us to her adorable baby, which was a nice touch. The food was tasty—while the omelettes were particularly impressive, I found the French toast to be a bit lacking. The hash browns were good as well. My only wish is that they offered butter instead of margarine.
