Happy Sumo At The Riverwoods - Provo

My wife and I love the Happy Sumo! My one picky eater loves the simple yakisoba noodles. We decided to order from their website (which looks fabulous) and a pickup order. When I came to the restaurant, I was warmly welcomed. Even with anyone wearing masks, you could say that they smiled and were thrilled to have you there. When I gave them my name for the pick-up order, they went and got the General Manager Lacey. She wanted to let me know that her new website was literally launched as I placed the order. It created a bit of a snafu, but Lacey and her team went directly to work to make things right without having to reorder. She made the experience wonderful. I need to see some serious professionals doing their job and doing them well. With Lacey give assurance that this will never happen again.... I believe in her and I will definitely return to the Happy Sumo. Lacey made it a great experience. And made me a customer for life. -Seth Holweg

We always have such a great experience at Happy Sumo. My husband's family has been going for years and it never disappoints. We love the Vegas roll! I wanted to post because tonight we had absolutely amazing, friendly, and helpful service from Kaden. He is AWESOME and so nice. Make sure to ask for him when you go :

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the service was very friendly. However, I found the name a bit misleading, as I expected the sumo wrestler to have a cheerful demeanor. Instead, he expressed things like wanting to be left alone to enjoy his meal, and mentioned being sensitive about his weight, asking others to stop.

It had been a few years since our last visit, but the food was absolutely delicious! The sunset roll was incredibly fresh and had a delightful lemony flavor. Our server Lyndsey was very attentive and helpful. Although our first round of salmon sashimi wasn't quite right, she quickly resolved the issue, and the next serving was perfect. Overall, it was a 5-star experience!
