Wok N Roll - Providence

The food at this restaurant is very good, although it may not offer the traditional Chinese dining experience. Many of the dishes are authentic Chinese cuisine, but the restaurant is located in a Latino neighborhood with a large Dominican clientele, so they cater to these customers. I have tried several items here and found them to be excellent and flavorful. The Crab Rangoon, Steamed and Fried Dumplings, BBQ Ribs, Egg Rolls, Fried Wontons, Chicken Fingers, Shrimp, Chicken, Pork, Beef, House Lo-Mein, General Tso Chicken, Kung Po Chicken, Beef or Chicken with Snowpeas, Beef Broccoli, and Orange Chicken are all delicious and reasonably priced, with generous portions of meat and vegetables. The Fried Chicken is particularly tasty, as are the Chicken Wings. While the Fried Rice may not be the best I've ever had, it is fresh and comes with a generous amount of shrimp or other meats. The Chow Mein, although not my favorite due to the cabbage, is also fresh and loaded with meat. The Pu-Pu Platter for one is a great option for trying out a variety of their appetizers, all of which are served hot, non-greasy, and in good portions. I'm not sure why some people have had negative experiences here, as I have tried numerous Chinese restaurants across the state and would rank this one in my top ten for its freshness and affordability. Personally, I prefer the taste of Kings Garden, but I appreciate Wok N Roll for its convenience, fast service, low prices, and delivery option. I would give it a B+ rating.

The egg rolls are large and delicious. The pork fried rice with chicken wings and garlic on the side is fantastic, and the sticky wings are amazing.

I ordered the general tso for $10 combo dinner with fried rice and a egg roll. average size take box. okay chicken and rice ratio. okay, lots sauce. the atmosphere of the restaurant itself is not so great, I recommend to take out or deliver vs to eat safe. the overall value I say is okay. was crispy, well cooked. Definitiw oily. was not a big fan of the eier role. I wouldn't say it was the most tasteful or best general tso I've ever had. service was fast and friendly. would I have ordered again?

Order the half chicken with rice, it's consistently delicious and satisfying!
