The East End - Providence

Delicious! We dined outside, and the atmosphere was charming! I really enjoyed the vibe of the place. The waitstaff wore their own outfits instead of uniforms, which allowed their personalities to really shine through. I ordered the Eye of the Tiger dish, and it was absolutely amazing! Did I mention how delicious it was? I also had the chicken piccata, and it was incredibly fresh and tasty. I would definitely come back again and again! Yum!

A friend recommended this restaurant to me last year during my trip to Providence, and I had one of the most amazing cocktails—an Oaxacan one made with mezcal and beet juice! I loved it so much that I returned for the same drink a year later. I was in town this weekend and decided to stop by for takeout last night. The bar was completely packed, but the host kindly asked me to take a seat at an empty table while I waited—such wonderfully friendly service! I ordered the burger and a side Caesar salad, and both were absolutely delicious!

The service, food, drinks, and atmosphere are all exceptional. This is one of the rare places where I’ll order cocktails, as they truly craft them with skill. I especially enjoy the seasonal offerings, particularly those featuring unique mushrooms.

The food at this restaurant is outstanding, and there’s a wide selection of drinks to choose from. We tried several dishes, and each one was delightful. The sandwiches are especially flavorful, and I can’t recommend the cheese board enough. They also have some of the best pickles I’ve ever tasted! The ambiance is wonderful as well—not overly loud, which makes it an ideal place for a date or a night out with friends. We will certainly be back!

I genuinely enjoyed my time at East End and was looking forward to returning, but the service was disappointing. As closing time approached, the staff clearly indicated that they would only be serving friends and family, who were seated just a short distance away at the bar. This left me confused about whether they were closing or not. Despite my efforts to be respectful of their closing time, the wait staff made sarcastic remarks and took on a mocking tone towards my friends and me. This transformed my impression from “I’d love to come back” to “I will never return, and I will recommend that others avoid this place as well.” It’s really unfortunate that the bartenders and wait staff made the experience feel so unwelcoming.
