Federal Hill Pizza - Providence

The appetizers and dinners were pretty tasty... however there for the pizza.. truly aweful.. maybe because we are from New Haven, CT but the pizza was not good. Also, the service was awkward. Nice waitress but couldn't get the computer to work and the bus boy was not clearing the table at the proper times. Training a must...

The atmosphere and service here are fantastic. While one might think Providence doesn’t need another pizza place, I believe this restaurant offers much more than your typical greasy Greek-style pizzeria. The wood-fired pizza crust is excellent, complemented by a rich sauce and fresh mozzarella. They also have a delicious salad and a variety of other dinner options. We hadn’t tried their pizza before, and we’re so glad we decided to explore something new!

There’s no better pizza than Brick Oven Fired Pizza, and Federal Hill Pizza has truly mastered this craft at multiple locations. The Chalkstone spot is particularly worth visiting, not just for the pizza but also for the historic building that houses it—a former theater with a spacious interior featuring high ceilings, exposed brick, and plenty of tables. On my recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who shared insights into the art of pizza-making. When our pizza arrived, I could immediately tell it was far superior to typical pizza. This is a great place to gather a group and really take over the space. It’s an exceptional pizzeria with a friendly atmosphere and a strong local vibe.

We attended a pizza-making class with Billy Manzo, and it was absolutely amazing. It exceeded all my expectations. The staff was wonderful, and the venue has a great vibe—plus, the pizza was delicious. Don't miss out on trying the garbage wings!

After writing a poor review, based on three prior experiences We once again visited FHP. Shortly after my review, I was contacted by the ownership of this unique eatery. They assured me they were aware of the issues outlined in my review and told me they were working on them. To be honest my concerns had nothing to do with that pie... a true God send, of biblical proportions. This is pizza head and shoulders above any other I've eaten. Our last vist proved me wrong on my original review. A smooth evening of service and attention.... And that Pie OMG! FHP is a true success story. They promised to work on issues and delivered. No pun intended. I'm a foodie and love to be proven wrong Chef Manzo Thank You.
