Bidrage med feedbackArtisan Kitchen and Lounge I had a great experience at Artisan last night. Staying at the Hyatt, I did not want to travel out for dinner,so i dined in at the Artisan. The staff was awesome. My salad and dinner was delish. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was moist and tender. I was totally impressed especially since this restaurant is on a hotel property. Thanks for the awesome dinner! Signed, New Grand Pa!
For the last four year my family and I have attended Mother?s Day Brunch at the Artisan Kitchen. The first year my sister suggested it and we loved it and decide to make it a tradition. As an added bonus for the last three years my mother has won an auction at a charity event held by her job, she paid a slightly lower price for eight tickets at this auction and since we usually have more that eight people attend brunch we pay the difference. This year was no different a total of 9 people attend brunch yesterday. At the conclusion of the meal he 2 certificates were presented for payment and a credit card to cover the difference. Upon return the credit card was charged for a total of 5 people. When questioned the staff stated that one of the certificates was a photo copy and that the voucher numbers were the same. When asked to see the vouchers to confirm the discrepancy the staff refused stating that they were locked away and they could not access them. My mother spoke with the contact person at her place of employment and that individual spoke with the contact person at the Artisan Kitchen. In conclusion after about 40 minutes of conversation and a sour ending to Mother?s Day Brunch and a family tradition this will be investigated further was the response. Now as a black woman who comes a family of honest, educated, financially stable and classy people this was extremely embarrassing and discomfiting. The money is not the greatest issue although we already paid for the brunch at the auction, there was a lack of professionalism and accountability in this situation. When the credit card was presented to make a payment the balance indicated and what was charged at completion of the transaction was over six times the amount agreed upon. And that is theft. Needless to say we have had to reevaluate and change our family tradition, the Artisan Kitchen will not receive our patronage moving forward.
Food was pretty good (a little overpriced but it?s in a hotel... , but the people working in the restaurant need to tone down the snootiness. It?s great that you?re working in a 4 star hotel but the way my friend was served with her husband was just embarrassing. I went this past weekend for the NJVMA meeting and decided to skip the provided lunch to go downstairs. The waitress forgot their orders, then put in the orders wrong anyways after checking a second time, then served my fiancé and I before them even though we ordered after them because their orders got screwed up. Their order eventually came out and my fiancé was finished with his meal before they were even served... Not to mention my friends husband was told that outside drinks aren?t allowed but he literally bought his drink upstairs in their overpriced ?gift shop.? The rest of the hotel was awesome but the restaurant staff needs help. They?re stuffy and rude and don?t even have great service to back it up with!!!
