Bidrage med feedbackThe Hub Bar is one of the bars/pubs in the city that serves a complete menu. We went here for dinner on a Thursday, one of the only days that this place is open at 10:00. We wanted to avoid the party crowd and so this day was really our only opportunity, but we were not disappointed by the shrub. Once we reach the square, you can definitely see the bar scene that takes place in the last part of the evening. We had fun watching some of the bar games for the night bar crowd. Some of the names for shots on their bike of drinks beat me as a bit. Wet ****, anyone? Because we just visited opening, it was a more family-friendly environment. There were a few families with small children. It was nice to see families outside and enjoy some casual food before the bar took a lot. Service was fast and polite, and although it looked like they were understaffed, our server did a good job to ensure that the tables are supervised. We ordered the chicken wing tablet with 3 different flavors, and each taste has 8 wings voodoo (Spicy, Miss Piggy, and the Ginger Bomb. We also added a sequence of shrimp popcorn and two pieces of fish with Yamsfries. The portions were very generous. The wings were crispy and tasty on the inside, and every taste is excellent! We would come back to try their other flavors. When we sat and ate, it was very clear that the wings were a favorite quite any other table had also some delicious wings. The prawn popcorn was good, the prawns were not overcooked, the dough exactly right, and the sauce makes it good. The two pieces of fish and Yamsfries were also good, but were the least impressive of everything we ordered. In concrete terms, the fish were overdue. And also the sauces that came with the fish and carve a plum sauce and something similar to a Mayo dimmer (for the Yam-Fries) were simply not very good. Especially the Mayo-based sauce was oily in appearance and texture. I would recommend going elsewhere in Rupert if you want good fish (Bob 's on the rock or Waterfront the Crest . Price: We paid about 60 dollars for our dinner, which is not cheap or too expensive for all items we have. You were really full. We left our slums full and an appreciation of the delicious wings they serve! Yummy, yum, yum, yummmm!!!
Only cash. Boys. The only dance place in town. It's a clean place, but only after 9:00.
My NYE experience at the hub.... We'll arrive at 1:00 a.m. the Bouncer demands $25 to get in us like Waf? After midnight, Bouncer won't come in well! Because I get my money to pay, I'm pulling $20. (A bouncer who worked at ALL the bars, takes it up and thinks no one has seen! My friend says, Trina, you lost money, he tries to hide it until I called it back. Only when he admits he picked up my money! When I spent my money to pay in the Bouncer, it throws into the bag so fast lol. Kinda sad there are no decent people out there (above at the door of the hub We don't have bartenders this night as we were completely demolished. That's too bad, because it's the bartenders who have a real job and earn tips. (Why the Bouncer decided to steal NYE? Haha yes, that was my delightful experience thought to share id!
The Hub Bar is relatively new in Prince Rupert, which officially opens its doors in 2015. It is, for all intentions and purposes, part pub and part nightclub. What that means is The Hub “Family friendly” until 10 a.m.; after that the place turns into... a happening discotheque. I never tied around for “after hours” and was only ever here to eat some delicious food. What attracted me to this place was the great sign on the outside of the building that advertised the “best wings in the north”. The best wings in the north, you say? This is a rather high order and I am not quite sure that this is true, but I can say – without hesitating – that the hub definitely has the best wings in Prince Rupert. On many occasions I cooked the wings perfectly – delicate, juicy and full of taste. And what is more, they have a variety of flavors to choose (30, in fact), and a few different wing types, including dry, saucy and hot. For my money, the “voodoo” wings are just right as they contain the perfect amount of “hot” – enough to kill your mouth a little, but not so hot that everything you try is “burn” to quote Ralph Wiggum. But for those who are a bit more adventurous, The Hub also offers its “Sucide” wing, which corresponds to Wing’s famous “Bobby wing”. This wing burns only hot, i.e.: you don't get any taste outside the hot sauce. That said, the hub is not just about wings. They also offer your typical pub adventures: chicken fingers, salads and various burgers. “The Hub Special” Burger is a personal favorite of me. Or, if burgers are not really your imagination, you can also try the (decent) fish and chips or the “Pig wings” (a funny game on the chicken wing, though with pork). In short, the food is really good, but the service can be met and miss: Sometimes the employees are very attentive, while in other cases they seem very uncoupled and uninterested. It's a little handle. The atmosphere of the hub is certainly intoxicated, but when I go to the building, I can't help but think I went back to the 1990s and into a cosmic bowling alley. The dimm lighting and neon lights that decorate the ceiling heard a lot back at such a time. If they managed to press into a few bowling alleys, the picture would be complete! FOODSTUFFS: 4/5 SERVICE: 2.75/5 VALUE: 4/5 RECOMMENDATION: As the signs suggest, come for the wings as it has easy to offer the best Rupert. The designated wing night also offers a much better value! Two thumbs up!
