Bidrage med feedbackCafé Boma is the latest venture from the renowned Boma Vleismark, which is famous in this area for having the best meat in Pretoria—a claim backed by its National Cleaver Award. On a personal note, Boma Vleismark is the only butcher we trust for our meats, as they have never let us down, and I highly recommend them! With such a strong reputation in the meat industry, I couldn't resist trying at least one of their meaty dishes on my first visit. The Boma Breakfast is particularly well-known, and with good reason! It consists of 2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, grilled tomatoes, and toast. You can also customize it with various add-ons, including a 200g steak, original Boerewors, mutton sausage, cheese griller, pork banger, pap kaiings, and fried mushrooms—the options are endless. The Boma Breakfast is the ultimate fry-up, and my dad even orders it for lunch sometimes, which they happily accommodate! We also decided to share two salads, thinking we could take home any leftovers for lunch: - Biltong Salad: A mix of salad greens, avocado, feta cheese, and sliced biltong, dressed with honey and mustard. - Chicken Avocado Salad: Tender chicken strips with roasted tomatoes, avocado, and red pesto. I was impressed with the portion sizes, and with reasonable prices to match, Café Boma is definitely a hidden gem! I will be back soon. *Recommendation: This is the perfect spot for discerning meat lovers, and with their exceptional quality meats, you can't go wrong with any meaty dish. I plan to return soon for one of their steaks! For more updates, you can find me on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter: LaurasWorldza.
This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, delicious food at excellent prices, and friendly staff, plus live acoustic music! I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a warm and comforting dining experience.
We had our usual monthly breakfast at Cafe Boma in Moreleta Park, a somewhat lesser-known restaurant that provided a surprisingly pleasant first experience. The venue was clean and spacious, with friendly service and welcoming staff. The breakfast was extremely affordable and tasted fantastic. I ordered the Boma breakfast, adding pap and kaiings, and overall, it was a delightful experience with delicious food.
This place is quite new. Or I haven't heard about it until my dad took us there for dinner. I only know Boma as a butchery and we thought we would try it as they would have quality meat.<br/ First impressions weren't bad. The place is neat and clean. The bar is well decorated and the staff were very friendly.<br/ <br/ You order your piece of meat and sides individually. Their prices are really good and reasonable.<br/ <br/ My mom and I had the fillet. It was made just the way we ordered, medium. The meat was soft and juicy. Real nice. For sides we had Pampoenkoekies. They received praise from everyone at the table. I just had veggies. It lacked a bit of seasoning but was good overall.<br/ <br/ My Dad had the T-Bone. It was also done perfectly. He had pap and sheba. The sheba was a bit tasteless. But my father enjoyed it nonetheless.<br/ <br/ Everything went well throughout the evening. The only point I think they can approve on is their desserts. I know they specialise in meat. But it would just take them a notch up if they can make the last course memorable as well. The malvapudding should be made with homemade custard.<br/ <br/ I think this place has the potential to be a really well known restaurant, because of the good quality of their meat. We will definitely visit again.
Food was great. I had a biltong and peppadew quiche and my hubby had a bacon burger. We both had cappucinos and also way up there! Waiting staff is friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back!
