Tammy's Borek - Preston

I would have rated this restaurant five stars if it were entirely vegan. Out of the 16 items on the menu, only two contained milk cheese; the rest were all vegan. We had a wonderful time overall—great value, quick service, and the staff were lovely. I would definitely return to try more dishes.

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant! Their vegan gozleme is absolutely delicious, and my favorites are the mushroom and vegan cheese options. I also enjoyed the long stay, sarma, stuffed peppers, and desserts. The staff is super nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place, especially since it's conveniently located right in Preston Market! This update is based on a previous review from June 4, 2022.

I tried a variety of dishes, but my favorites were the cauliflower, weeping leaves, and baklava. The borek was good, but it could have used more filling, and the broth was thicker than I expected. The gozleme had very little filling. This is an update to my previous review from April 28, 2022.

We have tried all the Boreks available to order via delivery and oh my god they are all delicious. My fave is the vegan mushroom and cheese, the firecracker and the vegan cheese and spinach They're Great reheated late or the next day in a sandwich press too! Such good value too, great small business. Edit from March 2022 Ordered again from this wonderful business and again we were delivered delicious boreks, and even a delicious free Turkish doughnut. Everything is clearly labelled as VG if vegan. There seemed to be a large variety of vegan items. I tried the vegan cheese and spinach borek and I really liked the flavour. Nice and fresh and cheap too. I also had the semolina cake and baklava. They were both nice with my favourite being the baklava. We sat outside and ate it there. It was a lovely thing to do on a Sunday.
