Great ambience. Lovely open fires.Great selection of food and drink. Lovely location too. Warm welcome from the staff.

Amazing country pub stones throw away from Fulwood. Excellent choice of beers and spirits. Lovely atmosphere with open fireplaces and stone interiors. Enticing menu with friendly staff. Timely service, you won't be waiting ages for your food unlike some other places. They have got good number of staff to cope with their busy periods. Some very interesting historical pictures dotted around the pub.

It was a special occasion to be our 49th annual day. we chose a lunch break, service, eating and the whole staff was nice. sue chose lamb and I chose steak, both meals were top quality. sticky toffee pudding with ice and brandy to finish a wonderful afternoon.

A few times this year...not disappointed, great eating, great pint, helpful staff and a nice pub!

Had our engagement meal here last night with 48 people everything was brought out together, there were no delays and rave reviews from everyone in the party. It was a perfect evening. Chloe in particular was amazing at ensuring everyone had everything they needed, and we will definitely be returning again soon!
