Bidrage med feedbackThis is a popular tourist destination on Prescott's Whiskey Row, and everything about our visit was fantastic. Stacy was our server, and the menu offered a wonderful variety of options. They have an excellent whiskey selection, and the cocktails are great as well. The display of craft beer was impressive, featuring brews from a local brewery in Phoenix. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely return for another visit!
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and we were seated right away. However, it took a long time for our food to arrive, but they were quite busy. We started with the twirling rings and shrimp, which had excellent flavor—I definitely recommend this! I ordered the chicken with mushrooms; it was tasty, and the mac and cheese was also good with a big flavor. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked and dry, and the green beans were just okay. We also ordered the chicken and ribs; the chicken was tasty, but the ribs were served cold! They took the meal back, even though we hadn’t asked them to. Our meals came with a salad that was quite decent. The prime rib was good, and the burger was decent too. Overall, it was just an average experience.
On the positive side, our waitress was very pleasant and the food was delicious. However, when I went to use the ladies' room, I was appalled by the state of it. Not only was there a foul odor, but one of the stalls was filthy, with mess everywhere. I immediately informed the waitress, who told me they clean it every morning. I find it hard to believe that no one else has noticed or complained about the bathroom; it surely couldn’t have gone unnoticed. As I looked around, I noticed that many parts of the restaurant were in disarray, like the floor and the entrance mat. This was around 11:00 AM. I genuinely hope they can improve their cleanliness standards, as the place has great potential and a lovely atmosphere for visitors. I'm just holding out hope that the kitchen is in better shape.
I have been to just about every major Old West town and its saloons. Some have an aura of authenticity, others are built on legends and myth. Some are completely fake. But there are few that compares to the Palace and its atmosphere once you enter through its swinging doors. This place is rife with history. The bar and the underbar behind the large mirrored piece are original. Doc Holliday, Wyatt and Virgil Earp, and Teddy Roosevelt all spent time here. As for its modern day profile, we drank Old Overholt at the bar (Doc's reported favorite) and were served by a very friendly and attentive bartender. I even met one of the owners who was an absolute pleasure to speak with. We ordered tacos and chicken wings, and both were good. Make this THE stop when you are visiting Prescott.
My mom tried to come here with her verified SERVICE DOG who was working because she is disabled and was kicked out!! They would not even give her a glass of water!! This is pathetic and cruel behavior not to mention ILLEGAL. Everyone with half a brain knows it is illegal to discriminate against service dogs. Telling everyone I know not to come here!!
