Krispy Kreme - Prattville

The lobby was closed at 4 PM. It was still broad daylight, yet people were successfully using the drive-thru. I also couldn't get anyone to answer the phone.

On 24. Apr 2023 went through the ride thru and ordered 1/2 dozen chocolate Custard Doughnuts approached on pick-up window and was informed that it was $12.02 I then asked the price and I said a dozen is just $16. So just give a dozen. The employee asks the other employees what to do and she said he should ring half a dozen, I said I don't pay $24 for a dozen. The other employee told her to extinguish her and ask me for a dozen. She told the employee not to ring until they know what they want. I checked my bank statement that I was charged $12.02 and $16.96 for the doughnuts. I called Krispy Kreme and was called after 1:30. I tried three times the next day and nobody answered the phone.

The restaurant only has a drive-thru. We ordered four custard-filled donuts. The employee asked if we wanted a dozen or half a dozen, but I wanted him to confirm just four. I simply said half a dozen. He then responded, "Okay, you want four donuts." It seems like he thought four was half a dozen? When we reached the payment window, this is what we encountered: see the picture below.

Well, we love Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, our latest experience shows that the donuts have shrunk by at least half their diameter. Is this a result of inflation or bad management decisions? The picture shows one from the freezer and the new one.

You have the best donuts, whether they're served hot or a few hours old. I've met the young woman who dives, fills, and boxes the donuts several times; I believe her name is Destiny. She’s a fantastic employee—always friendly and consistently gets the order right.
