Chuck's Little Diner - Prairie City

This is a charming little place in town that feels very inviting, like enjoying a home-cooked meal. The service was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly. We stopped by here before heading off to hike in the Strawberry Wilderness, and I highly recommend it!

My husband and I ate breakfast here after spending the night in town, and discovered it's a favorite of the locals. People came and went, talking about how they love the food and chatting with the staff. We found everyone friendly, and the food very tasty and plentiful for reasonable prices. We both had their fluffy omelets, along with toast and crispy hash browns, and couldn't finish it all. Wish we could transport this restaurant to our hometown...we're fans!

I had lunch here during a camping trip nearby, and it was definitely worth it! The Prairie City Beefer is a must-try—it's the best sandwich I've ever had. We enjoyed our meal on the porch, surrounded by beautiful summer flowers, and even spotted a hummingbird. The atmosphere is very friendly, and the food is both excellent and affordable. Bonus: they’re open on Sundays! If you’re in the area, don’t miss this place.
