Bidrage med feedbackMy friend and I were delighted to discover a restaurant in Prague's old town that served traditional Czech cuisine at a reasonable price. Luckily, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The waiter was courteous and attentive, and our food was served promptly. I ordered the peasant plate and my friend ordered the pig steak with bacon. Both dishes were well-prepared, generous in portion size, and flavorful. For dessert, we shared the Honey Cake, which was also delicious and a perfect ending to our meal. Overall, our experience was very enjoyable. The prices were lower than most other restaurants in the Old Town area, making it a great value for the money.
I was recommended to try this restaurant by my guide and I am glad I did. After trying a few restaurants in Prague, I can confidently say that this one served the most authentic Czech cuisine. The Czech beef dishes were exceptional and I also enjoyed their fresh salads. The portions were large and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean, including the restrooms. I highly recommend it.
The service here is excellent. Price is reasonable. If you want to be fed with too many tourists and try something local, I think it is the best choice. The waiter is excellent, served us in high-tech, which we are like in the hotel restaurant. I tried the duck and it is a bit salty for asian, maybe you will also need some drinks!
Really amazing food, cozy interior, friendly staff and good prices! Very recommended!
It is located about a block away from the Old town Square towards the river by St. Nicholas church. the place was quite comfortable and did look quite inviting. There is a set of stairs just after the entrance so be careful when entering. We were led to one of the side dining room to a large table. They came for orders but we weren't ready yet so they disappeared. The two waitresses were busy so we tried to get the attention of the waiter who just waved us off. We thought it was a bit rude but guessing each person has their own jobs. We eventually got a waitress who was able to take our orders. The beer was half head but it was the same in all the mugs so assuming that is normal. The food was quite nice. The goulash nad a nice flavour and I quite liked the dumplings that came with it. Everyone else was also happy with their meals. One of the biggest complaints was that the beef and cream only had a single slice of beef but it was still tasty. The honey cake was also quite nice. It is a nice place to try some Czech specialities as they had most of them on the menu. It was also quite close by which was convenient. I found the restaurant quite homey and comfortable so quite enjoyed the meal there.
