The napkin ring was cute, they tied it with a bow tie pasta. The service was alright, most speak the bare minimum of English so it was difficult to have the meals altered slightly to our preference. The food was decent. Overall experience was pleasant.
Located in downtown Prague, Hungary area. Thelisnpizzeria serves one of the finest pizza I had while exploring the European country. Pizza was hand made, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of char on the crust. Cheese melted right into your mouth and they did not skimp with the topping. I had the meat lovers pizza and there were toppings with every bite.
We were out for an evening walk before dinner and came upon Alforno Focacceria. The restaurant has several tables outside under cover, and plentiful seating indoors. It was very warm, therefore we decided to sit inside. We ordered the duck breast over pasta (not pictured and the rabbit ragout over tagliatelle (pictured . The waiter mistakenly brought the stuffed shells with tomato sauce instead of my tagliatelle (pictured . It is pictured because it was AMAZING!! I was three fork fulls in before I realized it was the incorrect dish (yeah, it was THAT good! The tagliatelle was cooked to perfection and the rabbit ragout had MAD flavor!!! The duck was cooked perfectly and I didn't hear a word until that plate was nearly cleaned! To top off the meal, we shared a piece of tiramisu which was OMG level of delicious!!! The meal, including the mistaken entree, was incredibly wonderful. The ambience of the restaurant was wonderful....loads of locals, some tourists, with everyone just enjoying the evening! The server was apologetic for the error in entrees, but I reassured him it was an error that I TOTALLY enjoyed. I will definitely return to this restaurant every time I visit this amazing city.
Dropped in for lunch and ordered the Carbonara and the Diavola Pizza. It came with some complimentary bread and olive oil. They do charge for water, even if you specify tap water (so do note). We also ordered a beer that never came, but were not charged for it (no biggie). The food was quite delicious, I'm not an expert on Carbonara, so I cannot speak to how authentic the sauce was. However, the pasta itself was cooked well, a nice al dente, and overall was super flavorful. The diavola pizza had a nice kick to it, and the fresh mozzarella was really nice, but it wasn't anything outstanding. Overall, decent prices and pretty good service for a very well-portioned and good tasting meal.
