The Old Mill - Powys

This is a fantastic pub with lots of charm and a lively atmosphere in the evenings. The bar staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to all patrons. They had a great selection of well-maintained real ales, including Purple Moose Glaslyn Ale, Wye Valley Butty Bach, and Greene King Abbott available yesterday.

If I were a vegan, I would give this restaurant 6 stars. However, as a carnivore, I found there to be limited choices for those of us who are picky eaters. That being said, I should have asked the staff because I'm confident they could have prepared a vegan starter for me. I believe this to be true because they did so for a dessert, even though it was not listed on the menu. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food was also really tasty, especially the only vegan option on the menu - the beans Bourguignon, which was incredibly delicious! I cannot stress enough how lovely and accommodating the staff were and we will most likely return for another visit.

The menu had a great selection and our dining experience was delightful.
