Bom restaurante para experimentar o famoso cozido nas caldeiras da furnas!

A comida era boa, experimentámos o guisado para duas pessoas sendo 3 e foi mais que suficiente. Serviço desesperadamente lento

Vim expressamente experimentar o cozido, especialidade das furnas. Foi bom, mas muito recheado! Fomos aconselhados a levar um cozido para dois e felizmente porque já é suficiente.

HORRIBLE service, NOT recommend Went there for lunch. Arrived at 11:45 and found the entire staff siting on all of the tables outside smoking. My husband and I walking inside (all staff watched us walk in) and approached the bar. We stood there for a full 10 minutes before a server came in with a very angry looking face. We asked what the special of the day was, he told us what it was and that they started serving lunch at 12:15. We asked that we needed a table for two and he replied that everything was booked no table available. We decided to just have a cold drink at the bar. We paid and told the server to keep the change. At this exact point he said that he would find us a table there in the bar area. We were very surprised that now there was an available table. We stood there for about another 5 or 6 minutes waiting for him to tell us which table to sit at. He just disappeared so we choose a table and sat down. The bar area has 7 tables only two were occupied with local clients who got amazing service. As for us we sat there for 1/2 hours without anyone approaching us although 6, yes 6 staff danced around behind the bar including the server who provided us with our cold drinks. All of the servers came back inside at about 12noon and just chatted amongst themselves behind the bar . One girl served the table with the locals. They all looked at me and my husband occasionally as if we were invisible. Finally one of the female server was walking by our table and I was looking straight at her and she stopped and finally asked if we had been served. I said no and she disappeared and minutes later our original drink server came over, dropped two menues and disappeared again. About 20 minutes later the same female server came over and took our orders. While we sat at the table we observed the following: Clients came on and headed directly to the dining area, they already new where to go or a local seated at the table where the all the locals sat would get up and direct them to the dinning area. He had an ID tag and looked like a guide who did not bring the clients into the restaurant directly. He somehow provided the preferencial service for these clients . There seemed to have endless tables in the dining area for these clients. Also a priest accompanied by three or four other men arrived, asked if there was a table in the dining area for four and an immediate response was yes come right in. Again there was an available table for them even when it was obvious they did not have a reservation. Additionally, the entire time we were there (11:45 to 1:00) no one occupied the other 4 tables in the bar area. I must indicate, though, that the one 6 person table in the area was being occupied by a three year old where the mother, a server, provided him with food and he watched cartoons on a tablet the entire time. He was placed at the biggest table after we had arrived. Again the bar area tables were not reserved at all. We felt almost subhuman with how we were treated at this restaurant. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE service. We will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. We will share our experience with everyone in every way we can. I could Never allow anyone to be treated as we were. We are tourists our selves, we travel every year to Portugal, we own property here and abroad, and we travel throughout Europe, North America and the Caribbean . Never been treated like this anywhere else. We do speak Portuguese fluently, amongst other languages.
