Cosimo's - Poughkeepsie

Went for lunch with a friend on Weds. 2/16 and was impressed to see so many patrons and warm welcome. For some reason our order was never entered and due to the delay it was on the house. Waiter was apologetic and we were perfectly fine with as we were eating the olive bread and conversing. The food was delicious and well worth the wait. 5 stars and I highly recommend and will return and/or visit one of their other locations.

What a fantastic evening full of flavour and aesthetic ecstasy. From the grounds to the decor, the every last morsel of our order, disappointment was an impossibility. This superseded our expectations and then some. The flavours were fresh and true to the Italian recipe, old fashioned, yet modern. What you’ll see in the photographs are a Manhattan Martini, Crispy Polenta bites, Mashed Potatoes, Swiss Chard, and Portobello stuffed Raviolis. Exquisite!

All in all we had a great dinner there. Relatively short wait at the bar, just right to have a cocktail. The bartender was great although when we wanted to pay, some glitch happened with the check. Then got a table in the smaller room which was great, not as loud. The waitress was friendly and polite. We couldn't get the bottle of wine we wanted off the menu, but got another, lighter one. Shared a fried calamari, a pizza and a mushroom ravioli, all were excellent. Overall great experience, can recommend to anyone.

I always have a hard time to find cocktails that I like, cosimo has it tasted! I was with my family so that we had to try almost every one of their signature cocktails and they were all delicious! we celebrated so that we got a little of everything and that was incredible! when I am in town, I will definitely be back! the atmosphere there is beautiful, the inner is really sweet and eating and the drinks are fantastic. try them anyway!
