I love the atmosphere of this place. It has an old-school charm, and the waitresses are the most beautiful. I really enjoy it here! The food is great, especially the pancakes—they're amazing!

I love this place. ideal for a breakfast/breakfast/lunch. always busy, that says a lot about how good it is. I have a cesar burrito. delicious.

During my time in Poughkeepsie, while on a bike tour and facing some tough weather, I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. I couldn't resist trying the boar dish, which certainly hit the spot. The place has a wonderfully nostalgic vibe, complemented by excellent food and attentive service. On a rainy day, the soft jazz playing in the background created the perfect atmosphere to unwind. If I were the blogging type, I would share more details about my experience, but suffice it to say, if you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a hearty meal, this is the place to be.

It was on my conscience to leave a review for this place so I stopped in the middle of eating so I don’t forget, people need to know how AWSOME!! This place is. Customer service-10, food broke the scale, ambiance-10. If you want the perfect place for breakfast this is the place for you, I’m really picky about my salads but I never had a salad this fresh, I’m truly impressed and considering it was super busy inside we did not have to wait to long. 10-10.

Our first time eating indoors with our kids since the start of the pandemic we had stopped at Mill House only to immediately leave when we saw none of the staff were wearing masks and the place was super crowded. So happy we ended up at Alex’s. ALL of the staff wore masks and everyone kept masks on when they left their tables. The restaurant was warm and cozy but not overly crowded. The service was SPECTACULAR Karen was so sweet!!! and the food was great (according to my 4 year old daughter, the blueberry pancakes were AMAZING . : Many thanks to Alex’s for making our first indoor dining experience with the kids in YEARS so pleasant!!!!
