Bidrage med feedbackI went to this restaurant for a pre-lunch meal and the food was delicious. I tried the corned beef bialy with salted cabbage, cheese, and mustard, which was amazing. The bialy was like a baked bagel and it was incredibly tasty. The restaurant is run by the same people behind Bourke Street Bakery, so I was not surprised by how good the bread was. The filling in the bialy was perfect, with the salted cabbage adding a great flavor. I also tried the suckling pig roll with crackling, mustard pickles, and dill sauce, which was delicious but a bit too subtle for my taste. The suckling pig was tender and the crackling was perfect. The honey, soy, and banana smoothie was thick and satisfying, and the watermelon, mint, and ginger frappe was refreshing. Overall, a great dining experience.
Operated by the same team from Bourke St Bakery, Wilbur's Place is a cozy and inviting spot with open seating located in a laneway that evokes vibes of cafes in Melbourne. If you're seeking delicious food, warm service, and good value, this is the place for you. The menu features rustic dishes that exude a comforting and homely atmosphere.
This restaurant embodies the essence of Llankelly Place. It may be small with limited options, but the menu is always changing. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with familiar staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. It's the perfect spot for a casual midweek meal that may unexpectedly turn into a fun night out. And to top it off, it's budget-friendly!
Worth visiting. We came here for breakfast based upon the reviews and weren't disappointed. The staff made us feel welcome, happily swapped us to a better table when it came free and the food was really good. The greasy spoon is a big, big dish, worth the money, but the black pudding was absolutely delicious. My dish was the mushrooms with pancetta and poached eggs. There's a reason why it regularly sells out it was sublime. The eggs combined with the saltiness of the pancetta (which was thin, crispy but not dry or burnt) perfectly complimented the assorted mushrooms served on sourdough. Loved it and we left two clean plates. The venue is down a little laneway, slightly off the Kings Cross beat and track. Worth a visit, for sure
Good size brunch menu and all day breakfast is always a win. Overall I really enjoyed the food here; it was tasty, presented well and not complicated. The service was fine as was the ambiance which made for an enjoyable casual brunch session. I’ll be back to try the rest of their brunch menu and possibly venture out for dinner.
