Maestro's Terrace - Positano

Service was terrible. Food was decent. Prices were astronomical for the portion size. Wouldn’t go back.

I would not recommend this restaurant. It has stunning views and it is decorated well but it cost us over $50 in a taxi to get there outside of town, the service was awful. It was not a dining experience whatsoever. We went over an hour of sitting there with no food. Not even bread until we asked for it. We had to ask for a wine menu instead of them starting us off with what we would like to drink. The menu is small and if you’re looking for a big plate of pasta this is not the place. It’s mostly seafood and the portions are very small for how much it cost. We ended up getting a pizza on the way home cuz we were still hungry. The food was fine but not memorable.

We booked this restaurant for the terrace overlooking the water. We were notified that the Terrance was reopened at the end of March. But when we came there, we were not told that the terrace was closed due to the weather and we sat inside, where I had only a handful of families and was very quiet. Some fashion music would have made it feel more relaxed instead of going there, but the food was good, later at night, I got food poisoning and the only thing I ate that my husband wasn't her special for the night - pasta with mackerel. We wouldn't have disturbed the heavy bill at the end if we had the experience we were looking for, but unfortunately we didn't. Again, I wish someone had gone beyond Terrance. We did not even receive a notification of our upcoming reservation.

A huge thank you to all the staff at Maestro’s Terrace! We had a fantastic time. We visited for my birthday and I couldn’t have spent it in a more beautiful place. It’s heaven on earth and the food is delicious. Many thanks once again!
