Bidrage med feedbackI'll go to the coffee shop when I'm in southsea. they continued to serve customers when other coffee outlets closed during the pandemic . . . and that is something my wife and I appreciated.
I met a friend at O'Briens Coffee for lunch in mid December. It was easy to find a table, and there were transparent screens between tables which was reassuring because of the pandemic. You order and pay at the counter, where there is also a screen. My friend ordered a panini with bacon, brie and cranberry while I chose a toastie with brie and cranberry (being vegetarian) on granary bread. Service was efficient, and we both enjoyed our sandwiches with warm melting cheese. The coffee was very good too, and I'm not easily pleased when it comes to coffee. On the menu there were also jacket potatoes, wraps and cold sandwiches as well as desserts. I would definitely recommend O'Briens for brunch or lunch while you are shopping in Palmerston Road.
Been here several times for coffees and toasted sarnies. My goto if in Southsea precinct. Good service reasonable prices.
I visited this morning for a coffee and was pleased to find it bustling, especially since nearby chain coffee shops were packed. We really should support independent businesses! The staff were excellent and very friendly; they even brought our coffee to our table, which is a thoughtful touch during these times. The café has done a fantastic job creating a safe environment with hand sanitizers and well-placed screens. The coffee was fantastic, and I will definitely be returning!
One of the many restaurants on Palmerston Road. The food was freshly made, and the coffee was excellent. While it has received awards, like many places, prices have increased over the past year. The staff could be a bit friendlier and more welcoming. It wasn't too busy for a Sunday morning.
