Costa Coffee on Commercial Road in Portsmouth has been a regular spot for me, but I am disappointed that the WiFi in-store has been down for over six months. This is frustrating for both customers and the hardworking staff who have to constantly apologize for the inconvenience. Without WiFi, employees struggle to place online orders and clock in for shifts, often having to do extra work at home. Despite the amazing team at this location, it is frustrating that Coca-Cola, who now owns Costa Coffee, has not addressed this issue promptly. The lack of WiFi has caused a loss of customers who expect to be able to enjoy a coffee while browsing the internet. I have tried reaching out to Costa customer service, but have not received any help. It is a shame that after Coca-Cola purchased Costa for billions of dollars, they cannot prioritize fixing this simple issue. It seems like customer satisfaction is not a priority for them.

There was a lack of information regarding vegan drinks options, shouting across the shop and also unimpressed with the manners of the staff. One of the staff members were biting their nails! Will not be coming back.

The Costa Christmas menu is something I look forward to every year- the cute cups and seasonal flavours! I am more of a hot chocolate drinker rather than coffee so I chose the Gingerbread Cream hot chocolate , and my boyfriend had the praline latte. I also was intrigued by the White Chocolate Honeycomb Trillionaires. I really enjoyed my hot chocolate as it came with a little mini gingerbread man too which was cute. The praline latte seemed to go down well with my boyfriend too , and would like to try the praline hot chocolate next time! The Trillionaires was delicious and not something I had tried before and will be getting another one next time! There was a small queue to order but the baristas were working quickly and it didn't feel too much of a wait. I think the man who served us was new to the role but everything went well.
