Santini Porto

Is this place worth the hype? We stumbled upon it so had no preconceptions. Some of the less favourable reviews here… write them off as anomalies. Santini seems to be an institution. They have been making ice cream for decades and it’s easy to see why. There is a good range of flavours on offer, with the expected standing alongside more unusual options (at least for a Brit) including melon and various Brazilian sweet treats. The ice cream itself was delicious, creamy and not too sweet. Highly recommend for an after dinner treat.

We had the gelato and it was delicious. Three flavors jammed together. Mmmm... Neat “olde tyme” type of place with a malt shoppe vibe, in a happening part of the city. Friendly staff. Great place to take a break on a hot summer day. Good for kids of all ages.
