Casario - Porto

I came here as I read great reviews — I made sure to make a reservation in advance. It is a bit tricky to find the entrance as google maps doesnt tell you to go up the stairs and leads you only on the ground level. In general, my expectations were high considering prices and reviews. We took the menu with wine pairing. The food was good, but not amazing. The service was a bit slow to the point we finished one course and we did not even get the wine pairing. The last wine pairing was Port wine, regardless what dessert you choose from the menu — port did not pair well with the dessert. I have the feeling many US Americans wrote these reviews saying it is the best meal of their life or their stay in Portugal as almost all the guests outside had an American accent. All in all, experience and food were good, but I would not come here again.

Absolutely wonderful evening in Casario. Food superb. Ambience fabulous. The waiting staff were outstanding. Their knowledge of the menu was brilliant. A wonderful experience.

On the Porto side of the city for dinner tonight at Casario, with views looking back across the river to Guia. It was a fantastic meal, Michelin-star quality without the price. It is well worth the effort to find this gem of a restaurant. Situated in the heart of the riverfront tourist area, but once you arrive, you feel far away from the commotion and activities. The second-floor location places you above the chaos with a quiet bird's eye view. The view is exceptional, as is the setting, the food, and the service. You can choose between a multi-course menu do Chef or ala carte; we selected the Menu do Chef and were not disappointed. All fresh, quality ingredients are well prepared and professionally presented.

Uma incrível joia escondida com a equipe mais atenciosa. Estar grávida às vezes pode causar problemas nos menus de degustação, mas a equipe do Casario se esforçou para tornar a nossa experiência inesquecível, até mesmo reservando um tempo para me preparar um coquetel que não estava no menu. Minha mãe estava bebendo vinho e suas escolhas eram impecáveis ​​para se adequar à comida que havíamos escolhido. Foi uma experiência maravilhosa e também um ambiente muito bom dentro do restaurante. É pequeno para demonstrar uma casa tradicional portuguesa mas não se sente apertado ou em cima das outras mesas. Altamente recomendado. Simplesmente adorei!
