Cafe Miradouro - Porto

Great location for lunch, overlooking the promenade and the Ponte Luis bridge. Fortunate to find an available table outside, next to the retaining wall, to do a llittle people watching. Second time in Porto, and this time I had to try the Francesinha (sausage, ham and roast beef sandwich, grilled with melted cheese on top, I skipped the optional extra of a fried egg and the whole lot surrounded by optional features in a bowl this one came with gravy, and accompanied by a plate of fries). Other locations offer risotto or a variety of sauces. Despite the gut busting quantity and the heart attack inducing recipe, this sandwich was excellent. Well cooked, tasty, no skimping on the contents. Don't plan on doing anything strenuous for the next hour or 2. Price a very reasonable 12 or 13 Euro. Service was efficient and timely, despite having an almost full outside area. Thought their beer offerings were overpriced, 2.50 for a 250cl bottle of stout, though it was delicious. Other restaurants' standard bottles are 500cl for 3.50 or 4.00. But overall a place to come back to.

The pizza was simply raw dough with poor quality toppings, a microwave pizza would have been nicer. Two of us left the food untouched and their server could not have cared less. They also put stuff on our table we hadn’t ordered and charged us for it. An absolute scam. Avoid!

Adorei este espaço. Muito bem localizado e com uma vista privilegiada sobre a Ribeira do Porto e de Gaia. Queria comer a típica francesinha e depois de muito andar, lá optamos por este espaço, não pelos preços, nem por sugestões, mas pela vista, pela tranquilidade. As francesinhas não eram más, mas não eram nada de especial. Sendo um espaço com uma localização tão boa, podia aproveitar e melhorar a qualidade para atrair mais clientes locais que, conhecendo os cantos e recantos da cidade, sabem onde encontrar as melhores francesinhas aos melhores preços. Se as encontrassem com uma vista daquelas talvez não se importassem de pagar um pouco mais. A relação qualidade preço não é má havendo um menu 'francesinha imperial ' por 10,50€ onde ficamos muito bem servidos. <br/ <br/ Este espaço não tem multibanco, o que, a meu ver, é também uma desvantagem relativamente à concorrência feroz.
