Evo is a stand out restaurant in Portland, and one of the best overall experiences I've had in a very long time. The service, the food and the atmosphere were all on point. I highly recommend adding this to your list of must visit restaurants in Portland if you are looking for an excellent experience!

The food was excellent, however, it took a long time for our meals to be served. My girlfriend received her meal before me and had finished eating before mine arrived.

We enjoyed the Chef’s choice so got to try a small portion of nearly everything on the menu. Every course was ended with a sense that we’d just enjoyed the best thing we ever ate; even the kale salad which we expected not to like. Our only “complaint” was the industrial decor giving a sterile ambiance and being seated at an unlit table where we had to use our cell phones to read the menu. Another very minor issue ... we got three fish courses in a row and then the meat courses. I would’ve enjoyed mixing those up with a fish then meat then fish ... etc. In terms of overall value, the meal was very expensive so, for us, a very special occasion only dining option. We also wished we’d understood the option of the outdoor “igloos” or chef’s table because we had chosen the chef’s choice option. Our tiny, tiny and dark table definitely detracted from the overall experience. Finally, that olive oil cake was a divine dessert ... light, not overly sweet and different!
