Bidrage med feedbackMy recent dining experience at Sur Lie this weekend was absolutely fantastic. There were a few standout points that made the evening special. First and foremost, the food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. Despite my food sensitivities and allergies, our server Angela was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating, as well as the chef who made sure to omit any problematic ingredients. The service was exceptional, with a team effort from all staff members and Angela in particular standing out for her warmth and attentiveness. The attention to detail in the presentation of everything, from glassware to silverware, was impeccable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was charming and comfortable, with a touch of rustic glamour. The drinks were also delicious. Overall, it was a dining experience unlike any I've had before, where everything felt like magic. I wish I lived closer so I could dine here more frequently, but I will definitely be returning when I am in town and recommending it to everyone. You must visit Sur Lie!
This restaurant provided one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I have ever had! It felt like a fantasy vacation dinner with my partner come to life. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived, and the atmosphere was laid back and cozy. We were lucky to have a window seat. The Ex Lion Tamer and Tony's Shim cocktails were complex and complemented each other perfectly (we shared everything!). For dinner, we enjoyed soppressata, mixta, a carrot dish, and brussels sprouts, which was plenty for both of us after a day of hiking. The portions were just right for sharing, and each dish was a masterpiece in terms of flavor, texture, and presentation. The main ingredients were balanced perfectly with the accompaniments, and there were many connections to the local area. The amazing carrot dish, with duck egg yolk, carrot caramel, and blue spruce oil, was visually stunning and reminded me of the beautiful lichen growing on the rocks near the shore. Each dish had a special touch, like candied orange in the mixta and paper-thin toasted bread with the soppressata. The servers' enthusiasm and cheerfulness added to the overall experience. Thankfully, we had room for a lemon curd dessert, which was also phenomenal. It was a true delight to experience world-class dining in a relaxed and unpretentious setting, with reasonable prices to top it off. We are already looking forward to our next visit when we return to Portland.
Last night, we tried the 5-course chef's tasting menu and had the pleasure of sitting at the chef's table. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. It was truly the best dining experience we have ever had. We would definitely return again and again!
Fantastic meal and the atmosphere was excellent, out waitress was awesome and once we were completed the chef actually came to our table and thanked us for coming in and asked if all the food was good and made sure we enjoyed everything. This place is fantastic and I live in Portland and we go out often... little secret don't bother even considering Central Provision it's not even close to this Restuarant. Great place we will be back.
We went for restaurant week and tried the special menu. Every thing was delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful! The Order of the Phoenix drink was spectacular!
