Bidrage med feedbackThis is my favorite place for sorbet in the inner city of portland. mdi ice cream has in the regular a few different flavors of sorbet, and they change the offers regularly. everything is unique. some of the options they could find are blueberry basilikum, nectarin champagne, pearseriesling, and mango jicama habanero?! if they are a vegetarian and ice cream fan, their milk is produced locally, and they have musheleis. yum. the people who work here are always beautiful, and they are great to share rehearsals. so if they are not sold on the sawed woman sorbet, they can always try it first.
The oat based caramelized pear ice cream tastes exactly like apple pie! Sour cherry sorbet is also good.
This is my favorite place for sorbet in downtown Portland. MDI Ice Cream usually has a few different flavors of sorbet, and they change the offerings on a regular basis. Everything is unique. Some of the options you might find include blueberry basil, nectarine champagne, pear riesling, and mango jicama habanero ?!? If you are a vegetarian and ice cream fan, their dairy is locally sourced, and they have nutella ice cream. Yum. The folks who work here are always nice, and they are great about sharing samples. So, if you aren't sold on the scorned woman sorbet, you can always try it out first.
The ice is pretty good (we have Bay of Figs, miso butterscotch, and the caramelized pear) and I appreciate the variety and unique aromas. But the pots I got were smaller than my companion. Our cups looked the same even though she had a double and I got a triple.
I heard and read great things. At first I visited some pints of ice as a gift. They refused to give me samples. I was the only customer back then. Didn't get an explanation, not a polite excuse. “We don’t make samples now,” they said. I left. Maybe the ice is good. But they certainly don't come as hospitable.
