Mcmenamins St. Johns Theater Pub

The pretzel sticks were obviously nuked. They came out way too hot. I ordered the Backyard cheeseburger which came without cheese and without barbecue sauce. Had to ask for silverware. Being from South Florida I'm aware that most places in Portland are going to be disappointing but this one was more disappointing than most. We won't return.

This little theater is unbelievable! We love this location!!

Perfect Friday: Sloppy Joe, Tater Tots, and a pint of Hammerhead at McMenamins! Cheers! Amazing, attentive, friendly staff with a chill vibe. First time, definitely not the last time!!

We arrived an hour early for the movie and so asked if we could sit in the theater until it started. They had no problem with that, so we had a seat and talked and sipped. After a few minutes, a gal came in and asked what our name was. Uh, oh , I thought, thinking we 'd violated some protocol. But she was just returning our debit card, which we had left in the card reader. Much appreciated! While we waited, there was a young staff gal who meticulously went through the theater, sweeping. She was doing the same in the restaurant area when we first came in. Kudos on cleanliness! All of the staff seemed extremely friendly and the atmosphere is very appealing.

Saw a scary movie there for the first time. Great theater with a unique feel. Able to eat in the theater so you can save a spot. Definitely smaller than a typical theater (80 seats I think) but the visual and sound quality were really good. I’ll definitely come back for more movies! Great mixed drinks. Standard McMenamins food. I hope they do some classic movies or shows since there’s a little stage. I would definitely love to see Frankenstein or something there.
