Bidrage med feedbackI really enjoyed the Grandma Jean's pasta, which the menu says was made by the chef's Nonna. The richness of the tomatoes are the basis for a wonderfully strong sauce. While some will not enjoy the strong rosemary flavor, it didn't overpower the tomato. We also got the beet salad, which was good. My spouse enjoyed the Alla Vodka. The iced tea was also good...perhaps Steven Smith Tea. Regarding COVID: We went Saturday, but early at 4:30, to avoid crowds. That was successful, although the waiting area was heavily populated by 5:15.
Swanky little joint tucked away in the Sellwood neighborhood. Family owned restaurants that's been on the block for generations. Killer seafood pasta dishes. Fancy craft cocktail to die for. Great place to take someone for a date night for that low light feeling while eating an Italian dish.
They have the best in town. And by far the best Caesar salad to be found anywhere. Great bar. Great atmosphere. Great service. Gino’s is likely my favorite restaurant in all of Portland. I have a hard time thinking of any place I’d rather dine. I wish I could have an extra star to offer “I give them 6 out of 5 stars!” . Dare I say “best restaurant in Portland?”. Well, except… sometimes my desire to go there strikes me later in the evening, so the only fault I can think of is their kitchen sometimes closes before my desire for their food is satisfied, but that’s more on me than on them. . Great place.
Have dined twice in last 6weeks. Salmon ,chicken pasta with clams, Caesar salads and drinks all very good. Hope to return soon for other offerings. Reserve early tables. Booths in the bar area are wonderful.
My favorite restaurant in Portland. It’s absolutely incredible every time. I’m sure anything on the menu is delicious but we always either get Grandma Jean’s, the mussel pasta, or lasagna. We always take leftovers home!
