Each dish is prepared fresh to order, making the 20-minute wait well worth it. I had the pasta with steak, and I can’t emphasize enough how flavorful both the pasta and steak were! The portion was huge—enough to serve three people—so I definitely couldn’t finish it all. The accompanying bread was also delicious, reminiscent of Olive Garden’s breadsticks but with a cheesy crust and rich flavor that I really enjoyed. I also tried their Playa Punch, a refreshing blend of juices mixed with real fruit, which tasted fresh and delightful. One of the owners stopped by to check on my meal, and that’s when I discovered they’ve been in business for a year. If you’re a fan of soul food or just great home-cooked meals, you should definitely give this place a try. There are no frills, just fantastic food served by a wonderfully friendly staff.
