Gin Thai Brasserie - Portland

We've been 3 times and have loved every dish we have ordered; our new favorite local Thai restaurant. It's a small place, and the tables are a bit close together, but once the place fills up you don't feel like you're eaves dropping on your neighbor.

Authentic and flavorful Thai dishes. Nice ambiance for a date night.

The food was tasty, but not as spicy as anticipated according to the description of one of the dishes. The décor is unexpectedly more PDX than Thai. The service was very good and we plan to go back to try other dishes.

The restaurant is newly renovated w a modern decor..very clean and inviting. The food is not your typical Thai menu. If you want to try authentic Thai food this is the place. There were 3 of us so we each ordered something family style. Everything we ordered was very good. Service is excellent and we will definitely return.

I don't really understand all the glowing reviews. I ordered a cup with chicken and tofu, but instead I received noodles with a chicken leg—no cuts as expected—and she forgot the tofu. The service was inconsistent. My husband ordered another Thai iced tea, and they brought me one as well. I suppose that's a clever way to increase the bill.
