Bidrage med feedbackFood and service was good and drinks are priced well. My only complaint was it was pretty load but it is bar on Saturday night.
Should’ve known by the dead atmosphere how this place was going to be. A tribal ID is not acceptable to determine age when excuse me if I’m incorrect, but Natives were here first? Not only were they rude, but clearly racist. “Need an ID from Oregon”, even though it said Oregon on it lmao. Tribal ID’s are FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED. So if you want to be completely discriminated against if you aren’t white, then come on down.
Da' Hui was one of our favorite bars to frequent, when we lived in SE: really incredible Hawaiian food (my wife adores their spam musubi), tart tropical-themed drinks and slushes, slightly aloof servers, and a freaky tiki aesthetic. They've since added a covered patio, post-COVID, which is a nice addition. Fantastic happy hour, open late, and just a fun vibe all around, particularly when it gets busy. My only complaint is that I wish it was closer to home, but that's our fault for moving away.Kid-friendliness: No minor allowed: 21 and over, even on the outdoor patio. Shame.
BEST tacos in Portland, and the chicken teriyaki salad is fantastic. We love the Alabi and Hale Pale, but when you want an awesome laid back Tiki bar with incredible food, head on down Foster.
Love this place, I've just never figured out what the gecko on the menu means. It's next to three seemingly random items. Did I eat a gecko? Guess I have a taste for it now, I'm going to chase this feeling.
