Cafe 700 - Portland

The hotel is located in a building lobby. Don't be so stupid, breakfast burritos were amazing. we had them two days behind each other.

This charming little café is conveniently located in my building. While the menu isn’t extensive, everything is fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced. My favorite dish is the breakfast burrito. I also recommend the grilled chicken sluice and the yakisoba. I truly appreciate that they remained open during the past two years when everything changed around us.

I enjoyed a delicious breakfast muffin filled with egg, ham, and cheese, along with a latte.

I can't comment on the food, but I strongly recommend steering clear of the coffee here. I decided to try an espresso and an Americano as a test. The espresso was weak, over-extracted, and frankly not enjoyable. Amazingly, the Americano was even worse. For starters, it was served at an excruciatingly hot temperature, so I had to wait for it to cool down. Once it did, it tasted more like watered-down coffee than a proper Americano. There was no depth, no real flavor, just the unpleasant taste of over-roasted coffee. I've heard positive things about the food, so you might want to give it a try, but I would advise avoiding the espresso bar if you can.
