The food was really great, atmosphere was nice and the service was very very nice, professional and helpful.

We stumbled on this place whilst doing a motorbike tour of the Douro valley It is really good, the rooms are well appointed and really clean The pool is excellent and the gardens are lovely and immaculate and nothing was too much trouble They have...secure parking for the motorbike (not that you need it as the area is so quiet) We ate in the restaurant and it was absolutely excellent we went for the local dishes of lamb etc which was first class and really tasty and the house wine was top quality also Gluten Free was easy and well provided for both at dinner and with bread at breakfast the next day The girls that worked there were lovely and were really helpful and we had a long chat with the young lady who owned it and she was delightful and so helpful in helping us choose where to travel next in Portugal (with her help we chose Obidos)

This is a place lost in a small town, that just serves about anything you may want to eat (just don´t ask for sushi - it´s not typical), with one of the most astounding flavors i personally have ever tasted. From the meat to fish, everything will be enjoyed with a good bottle of wine (from the region).I advise not to seek what to eat, but always prefer what the house recommends. The experience will be better!
