Bidrage med feedbackWe eat at Sever Rio last night. It was disappointing not only for the quality of the food but also for the customer care which was non existent. We arrived at 7.45pm, 15 minutes early for our booked table. . We were asked to go away and return in 20 minutes! We ordered Boletus as a shared starter. That was ok but not as good as we had eaten elsewhere. Our main courses arrived very shortly after our starter plates were removed, We both chose local specialities. The Wild rabbit and Mushroom stew was heavily salted making the taste of the ingredients difficulty to determine and leaving the diner very thirsty. The Venison cooked in the oven with Chestnuts was an enormous plateful, far too much for one person, and was strongly reminiscent of a 1970's prepared TV dinner. The slices of venison were stacked in a very salty sauce and the chestnuts had been added afterwards. We were not asked at any time if the food was ok. It was a most unusual experience in this delightfully welcoming region of Portugal.
It was very nice, good food and really very nice and service minded people. The beers and wines are perfect. Love to come again.
Well organized and adapted to the pandemic requirements. Spacing between tables, QR code menu, all staff with masks and alcohol gel everywhere. We tried the boletos (mushrooms) as starter wonderful! and very good sardines as main course. Staff helpful and friendly. Stayed outdoors in the shade, enjoying the view and breeze. To come back!
The food was ok. The bream and venison were both actually pretty good but meagre and bulked up with tons of inedible vegetables. Not only have they never heard of al dente but they start boiling the carrots the day before. The wine was good and not too over-priced, our waiter was helpful and friendly, the setting was lovely. But you pay a lot for the river setting and white linen...i could have had a more ample, better meal for half the price in most of my favourite Portuguese restaurants. We had cheese olives to start, one venison one bream, one water, one of the recommended local wines, one coffee for €50 but we werent full. it wasnt bad but it certainly wasn't exciting. and i was suprised, at the end of the meal, to be offered dessert choices on a dog eared plastic menu with pictures of branded prepackaged ice cream ..didn't sit with either the ambiance or the pricetag.
Excelente restaurante Jantamos por 2 vezes e não desiludiu em nenhuma delas. Toda comida e sobremesas estavam uma delícia
