It is located directly opposite Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, but none of us had ever stopped. There seems to be little known, but I hope it will be more exposure. The menu is small, with a few good choices, but could expand with more patronage. We all had variations of fresh, never frozen burgers and handcuffs. They were delicious. The server was very attentive and helpful and the manager stopped to make sure everything was good with us. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I wanted to try their steak dinner, but they were from steaks.
This is one of the 70s or 80s small town Burger Bar places and everything is fresh and good. They make their own French fries. The French bathroom is pretty good as someone else mentioned. I had a black bean burger and it was pretty nice. The reels were fresh and so were the blows and salad my wife ordered. Very good.
The fries here were definitely the highlight of the experience. Otherwise the drinks were standard tariff; there was no special cocktail menu or design list, so know what you want when you go. Went for Tuesday night Trivia and had a nice time though it was quite empty. Only real complaint was that the men's bathroom smells like a Porto tank.
I visited often when it was Fat Tonys, but now it seems to have fewer visitors and I don't know how they stay open as they are. I haven't tried the food yet, but they pour a good size single shot on the rocks and a beer is also favorable.
Food is not totally terrible when you actually get it but I have concerns with cleanliness, someone I was with was served a cheeseburger with the paper from the cheese still on it and another served a raw burger. Restroom Everytime I've been there smells like urine and have personally witnessed someone served a drink with a straw that had just fallen on the floor.
