Bidrage med feedbackBucky's is a nice little diner-style breakfast near Austin/West Lakes. The food is good. Omelet and hashbrowns are quite typical diner tea (although smaller portions than I expected); not writing at home, but solid yet. However, the pancakes are excellent. Light, fluffy, well prepared with this buttermilk pancake flavor I could never duplicate at home. The location in a strip-mall hurts the atmosphere a bit. It is with regular, and you can eat at the switch, but the layout is so that it still feels like it is in the stripe mall that it is. There are other strip-mall memories in the city that somehow solved this problem (ninas for example; You forget his location as soon as you go through the door). Maybe Bucky has too much space. Who knows. Anyway, beside the pancakes, the other thing that stands out is the service. Political, attentive, friendly (surrects some references to the regulars by name), and lightning fast. Honestly, I've been waiting for Fast Food Joints for a long time when it took my food to get out after I ordered it. I guess the speed of the service is quite well known for its regular customers as I was there on a Sunday morning and there were a few families that were obviously for their BEFORE-church breakfast. They would normally not risk that on a Sunday morning at a popular breakfast joint, unless you had a certain confidence of the service would not let you down. All in all, Bucky's is a great place to meet when you are in the mood for some fast, delicious pancakes!
The bill was just a hair over $9, but the real plus to Bucky is the speed. I had expected to burn a little more time for breakfast and I was probably in and outside less than twenty minutes. Bucky's Cafe is a fairly standard breakfast connection served quite standard breakfast. Nevertheless, the place was packed in the middle of morning grays on Friday and they still turned plates out awfully fast.
Nice place to get a good breakfast. Many rooms inside. There were many locals who seem to be visitors every day. Food presentation was good and taste was great. Easy access to the restaurant.
This review (like most of me) is not too bash Bucky’s Cafe. However, be attentive when you place your order through the current online prices they are wrong. My bill ends almost twice as much as I expected. When I said that, apart from my hash broods, closer to raw than extra crispy, it was very, very good. The amount of sausage in my omelet was incredible, beautiful large pieces. It was a very good breakfast.
Good solid place to go grab breakfast or lunch. Spacious interior, you will not be cramped or crowded in here. The patrons, while a ton of regulars, still all made you feel welcome when you came in. Staff was great! We didn't ever have to ask to have anything refilled or brought to us. All in all, a solid place to grab some breakfast food with your coworkers before work or family on a weekend.
